Celina Peña is the product of a small business family and was raised in South Texas. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees in political science and has a professional background in non-profit management, contracts, and policy analysis.
Celina has dedicated her career to addressing issues that impact women, minorities, and the economically disadvantaged, especially in South Texas. Celina currently serves on the City of San Antonio Literacy Commission and the Martinez Street Women's Center Board.
She is married to Michael Soto and they are proud parents of Alejo, their five year old son.

Ms. Duran's responsibilities include creating and updating training and technical materials, preparing and conducting seminars, providing business counseling and business plan writing services to clients, as well as providing logistical support to the STWBC Director.
With roots in Monterrey, Mexico, Ms. Duran's interest in international affairs led her to pursue a BBA in International Business Management with minors in Finance and German. A UTSA alumni, she was one of six US students selected to attend Munich University and study the EU market. Her most recent experience includes working for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where she was an Account Executive and Consulting for Andrade Business Consultants, where she focused on E-Commerce and International Marketing.
